July 26, 2022

2 p.m - 3:30 p.m.

French Cultural Center, Tel Aviv

Speakers: Coline Infante and Ido Ariel

Mozart's vision of women in his operas was unique to his time. It was customary in the 18th century to have  portraits of submissive women. Mozart created characters of women who were not dependent on a man and who took their destiny into their own hands, which was truly extraordinary in his time.

Her heroines are not submissive.
